Stereo install today!
This is what I am getting done:
Head Unit: WX-7700MDX MiniDisc and CD player (will use built-in amp for rears)
Front speakers: Infinity Kappa Perfects
Rear Speakers: Infinity 625i coaxials
Amp: JL Audio 300/4 (2 channels for fronts and other 2 channels for sub).
Subwoofer: Custom box behind driver using dual 8" W3v2s.
Alpine XM radio. Thanks to Dr. Bonz for the inspiration!
Sony 6-CD changer with MP3 playback
Aux wiring for my iPod :-)
Dynamat Xtreem for the whole car.
Phoenix Gold wiring throughout.
I will post pictures after installation is complete. Hopefully later tonight or as soon as I get my digital camera back. I left right as they were taking apart the car...I almost fainted seeing her parts everywhere.

I wish I could show you install pics and plus pics of the enclosure before they put it in but unfortunately I won't be there while this is done at the shop.
I will, however, post the complete project when available.
As a footnote, the reason that the frame wasn't used (according to the installer) was because it would produce an unwelcome vibration since it is metal. Also, they estimated that two 8" subwoofers would produce better sound quality than a 10" sub (that I could afford).

BTW, for those that have Flash installed in their browser, you can play with the head unit colors via this link:

You can't unless you order it through a Japanese distributor.
Try pricejapan.com for the best prices
or go to the melting-pot.com but they want $699 + $50 shipping/insurance.
BTW, the installation is complete. I am trying to get a hold of a digital camera.

dchrgrZ,
How are those pictures coming?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who want's to see how that headunit looks installed?
Maybe a couple of "night" pictures with the color set to match the gauges would be nice too.

See my post above.
Remember that it will NOT be able to support U.S. FM radio stations without an FM converter. This is because Japanese radio stations are tuned between 76 to 90.

I would definitely like to see pics of your installation.
