Default I bought a PIT exhaust- It looks GREAT!

I know that a lot of people are suspicious of inexpensive items, but this exhaust is REALLY nice. It is a very close copy of the Apexi N1- Y pipe back dual canister system. The quality of the materials and construction is excellent. Brightly polished stainless, beautiful robotic welds, very nicely built. And now the kicker, it was $250.00 delivered! Free shipping in three days by Fed Ex ground. I will post comments on installation soon.

yeah, I thought that pic was from somewhere. A real pic and sound clip would really help some people on here.

The exhaust I received is identical to the picture. I will take some detail pictures that show closeups on the welds, etc. The mid pipe is 2 3/4" for most of the length and then it expands to 3" for the last 18" or so. The entrance pipe into the main muffler is 3" too. The exit pipes are 2.5", going into the twin 4" diameter resonated mini mufflers. The final tips are 3.5" (90mm). There are removable stainless steel "silencers" in each tip. More info to come.

sound clips are on the website already but just revs and not anything constant.

< I drive far to work and can't stand so much sound for so long.

You can go to www.performance-trends.com to see a few pics and here a sound bite. We sell alot of these systems and are tring to get more people to know the brand, thats why the prices are so good. We will be running these deal for a few more weeks. If you have any questions please send me a PM.

Thanks

I put it on the scale and the rear muffler section weighs just 26 pounds. Seems pretty light! Installation may be today. I will be posting more pictures this evening.

That was the first exhaust I had. I thought it sounded terrible. A lot of rasp.

I went with the EVO2 and junked the PIT.

Did you run the system fully open or with the tip silencers?

Sound quality is extremely subjective. What too is loud? What is too raspy? What is "ricey"? What is "exotic"? I can understand your dissatisfaction, however, If I find the exhaust "note" not to my liking, I will have a small resonator or glass pack muffler inserted into the mid pipe before I would consider "junking" a whole system.

Default More Photos

I didn't get the system installed yet. Here are some additional detail photos that show some aspects of the PIT exhaust.

The logo plate on the side of the tip, two views of the welding, and a top view of the system.

More to come.
