This is really huge. And very real. What happens in the movie "Taken" is very very real and has happened and is very serious.
Everyone that doesnt know squat about Europe cant believe it and are in full denial (blaming the child, even though she was evaluated by a child psychologist), everyone that reads the news occasionally and/or is from there is not even close to debating what happen and is more concerned about what is GOING to happen.....
Plain and simple it is TRUE, the guy waited an entire YEAR after finding out what happen and getting effed by the system, till he finally got a professional opinion and then even waited a little bit till he was sure that if he didn't fcuk someone up himself his daughter was in jeopardy. So he did what any good parent would have done and took care of the problem himself, its not like he did not exhaust all the other options before using his LAST resort or so to speak.

I believe there was a documentary on the sex slave trade several years ago. They didn't touch into the underaged aspect of it and instead concentrated on the college educated unemployed women of russia who get either kidnapped or tricked into slavery.
Then, EXACTLY LIKE THE MOVIE TAKEN, they get forced to take drugs and hooked and beaten if they try to run away. Almost always are they taken to some other country illegally without a passport, where the local government is corrupt and bribery is rife.

I mean, these aren't topics that just come up when talking to kids where they all of a sudden play make believe.
Which is beside the point, the father had the daughter taken to psychologist to confirm if the child was making this up or was telling the truth.
We also have anecdotal evidence/knowledge of the propensity towards sexual slavery in this region and the fact that Lithuania is a major hub...

He could have gone about this and been much more successful in his goal...not "running".....and had his child with him. Unfortunately I think something just "snapped" and he didn't think it through like he should have.
For the record...I completely support what this guy did and would have gone to the same lengths he did. If you don't know about how the world can really be...you won't understand. Our nice little United States isn't in a bubble people.....
