Default Sacramento Raceway / Test & Tune / Saturday, November 20th

As discussed at the last ClubZ event, there will be a Test & Tune event at Sacramento Raceway coming up on November 20th. Many of the guys at Zcar Garage will be going with their cars. If we get enough people, we can most likely get our own lanes reserved. So if you want to see the potential of your Z, and race your fellow Z friends then please come and join us. Gates open at 9:30 am, and the races are from 12-4. Most of us will caravan up in the morning, hang out, bbq, whatever, and then start the races at noon. For more info you can check http://www.sacramentoraceway.com.

Default TEST&TUNE - NOV. 20th @ Sacramento Raceway

Sacramento Raceway is open for a test & tune on Saturday Nov. 20th. The Raceway opens at 9:30am and drag runs will be from 12-4pm.

More info to come on meet times etc. We are still trying to work out the details. Will probably have more info on Tuesday.

Please post if you are interested. More info about the test & tune can be found at: www.sacramentoraceway.com.

I am trying to get as many F/I Z's to go as well (Vortech, Greddy, APS, etc...). It will be a great day for photos and to learn more about the F/I options available to 350Z owners.

Not to mention the most important part... DRAG RACING!

Cool, will have more details tomorrow about meet times. The earlier we leave, the better.

That's right. Everything go OK? Did Walt notice any difference on the test drive?

Yeah, I think he did. I really noticed a difference with longer gears. I can do 0-60 without shifting into 3rd.

Sounds like a definite improvement for both of you. Do you feel like you're getting a stronger pull now?

Less shifting and pull feels about the same. Which is saying a lot because my car pulls HARD!

I didn't feel a whole lot when I did the test drive at ZCG because I didn't want to annoy his nieghbors but when I got to 101 and had an on ramp to wind up on there is a big difference in 3rd and 4th gear. Probably 5th too, but there were lots of bike cops out today.

First and second are too hard to tell, because they always wind up so fast anyway. Prior to this swap I would cross the 1/4 finish line in 3rd gear with a little rpm to spare before it hit the rev limiter. Now if it is still in 3rd gear and hits the rev limitter 2 feet after I hit the finish i will be a very happy man.

I aleady have traaction problems, so it will be interesting to see how I have to launch with this set up.

I am happy and I can now say that I have a part from a 415hp Z in my car

Do not have times as of yet, but a caravan will start out from Z car garage in San Jose, travel up 680 to meet with a couple of people in Walnut Creek and then continue up 80 to Sacramento.

The list so far:

1. LouZer
2. Corsair
3. fowlman
4. G3po (tentative)
5. zwindsor (?)
6. DP Z33 (unconfirmed)
7. Rob @ ZCG

There are at least 5-10 others scheduled to come who do not post on my350z.com.
