The System Is In!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Metra kit finally came in so I was finally able to get everything installed. I was a little concerned about how my sub boxes were going to sound but was very, VERY happy with the results. The system sounds exactly how I wanted it to.
I still can't get over the crappy stock paper cones Nissan/Clarion considers speakers. The rear speakers were rated at 32 ohms!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The HU has more control over sound and internal crossovers than I can shake a stick at.
Thanks to all who answered my questions and offered up advice and opinions.

Congratulations on getting your system completed! You should definitely get the "Utilizing This Forum To The Fullest Extent" award, as I don't believe there was a thread posted in the last ~30 days that you didn't ask or offer advice on. Great job - I learned a lot from your posts. Now where are the pics?

Thanks bro! Pics are coming tomorrow as I want to shoot outside using daylight rather than so much flash.
I think the installers thought I was a bit strange by taking shots of them tearing the car apart... I'll post those shots now.
I want to go down to the garage and crank it up but I'm sure the wife won't think too kindly of that.
I never knew two eights could hit that hard!!!

Door in progress
As you can see, I decided to go ahead and have some dynamat installed in the doors while the panels were off... Don't fret, it wasn't all on yet and we adjusted the crossovers before the panels were replaced.

Behind door number 42
This is what rides behind the grill in the non-upgraded sound systems........errr, maybe even in the upgraded systems for that matter.

In case any of you missed it...
Here is one of the two boxes in the hatch.... As I mentioned, the sound is INCREDIBLE!!! Oh, I know JL's look better without the grills but I decided that they needed them due to the high traffic location they are in. There is super-duper industrial strength velcro on the bottom to keep them from sliding. Only the hard/sparse side of the velcro was used as the carpeted mat provides the fine/dense side.

Sweet setup. That is exactly where I would want my sub later on when I get one. Can you show me more pics of the wiring of the JL XR650CSi, specifically the tweeter? (I'm guess that is what you got) Those will probably be the components I'll get here in a month or so. I'm debating whether to get them installed professionally or to do it myself.

Forgot this one.... Here is the padding that is in the sub compartment from the factory. It's pretty much just carpet padding/insulation with a rubber coating on top.
