Default Has anyone tried these short shifter from Ebay

Has anyone tried thses short shifter that is selling on ebay for $80-$95.

I want to know the quality and the fitment on these shifters. Any vibration issue. How is the quality vs B & M.

Also are these hard to install?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Well shipping was amazing, I bought it Wednesday afternoon and with Thanksgiving I still got it today, it looks good and well made, but have not installed it yet I am swapping the tranny this week so I should get it on there and see how it works.

Looks like it is well made. And you can't beat that price. Keep us posted after you install it.

What type of Modification was done?

I just installed mine over the week end and here are my thoughts & issues.

The install took about 1 1/2 hour. The toughest part was getting the shift **** removed. It was on really really tight so I had to use wrench and it tore up my shift ****. Luckly I had an extra shift **** which I bought from ebay few months ago.

Other than that, it was pretty simple.

Here are the issue I am having,

I hear a little rattling noise so I called Tony (AKA: WLD350Z) who was the first one to have B & M Short shifter on the Z amongst the Z owners because his first shifter from B & M had the same issues. He told me to loose the screw underneath the car. We will see what happens. The noise is not too bad. When you have a music on, you can't even hear it.

The other issue I am having is that the Guide plate is positioned little high so sometimes I can put it into reverse w/o pushing it down and sometimes I have to push it down. I think I need to make a minor adjustments.

Other than issues I mention, shifter feels great. Its worth $93 bucks and it also got rid of most of the knochiness on 2nd & 3rd gear.

Just caution: Take it easy when you are unscrewing the shift **** if its on too tight.

I'll post more updates.
