Default Twin Turbo VQ35HR *Performance Factory Exclusive* 495whp @ 10.5psi

*NEXT DAY EDIT* Well the first day on the dyno we fully tuned the car with the haltech, we did all the part throttle stuff, all the idle, and all the low boost all the way up to high boost. the car was very very hot cause we did it all in about 6 hours time. now, this morning we decided to do a pull or two on a nice cool engine, we also safely upped the boost to 10.5 psi. the car makes 10.5 and then falls a bit probably due to the 2.5 inch test pipes...

Here are the results!!! i LOVE this car !!!

The tires on this car are really really off balance, on my dyno when that happens, well it causes a really shakey graph

Nice little Haltech screenshot for you.

we played with the tach signal and switched the wires around and got it to pick up a little better, its still pretty shakey like yesterday. parts skip out a little on there, but you get the idea

well guys, back in february we started to do a twin turbo kit for an HR. the owner of this car is a 16 year old guy named mike, out of south florida. he looked around and decided Performance Factory was the place to get this setup done. it took us about two weeks to fully fabricate the whole thing to perfection. we modified the HKS GTRS kit to fit and made a lot of changes. we utilized the greddy intercooler package and then add a few more things to make it all run.

it took us about two months after the fab work to get everything wired up and working perfectly, plus working on the completely new and different crank and cam timing codes takes a bit of time too.

Big thanks to Hal at Injected Performance on helping us figure out some "top secret" stuff...

Here are the dyno graphs, we could not get a solid tach signal so we dont have torque or vs. rpm. we tried and tried. the boost levels are on the graph. the most we did was 8.3 because we wanted to keep this car in one piece for a while. this is VERY very conservative due to the fact that there arent many HR TTs. We should be building a second engine that mike, the owner, has here shortly so we can continue to push the envelope. we WILL push this setup a lot farther, we just want to get him his car back so he can drive it for a while...

This build consists of..

Haltech Platinum HR version
HKS Twin Turbo GTRS kit
Greddy intercooler package
Performance Factorys HR twin turbo upgrade package
JWT HR clutch and flywheel
HKS EVC6 boost controller
Greddy Ti-C True Dual exhaust
Deatschwerks 600cc injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Tial 50mm blow off valve

Im sure there are a few more odds and ends we included on there as well.

Pictures of car... we will get some whole shots of the car when we get it down and cleaned up. still need to polish up the intake pipes or have them coated. not sure which one would look better...

Great job.

How hard do you think the stock HR block can be pushed?

Very nice..... BTW Jeremy....why do you think it will take 500whp ? Is it because of the rods....or is there something else ?

Does the throttle body piping being Y'd like that not cause one side to get more air than the other? You'd think that a majority of the pressurized air would go into the drivers side TB.

We are offering the same exact package for around 12 000 right now. this comes with everything you will need , installed and fully tuned.

Haltech platinum
HKS GTRS turbo kit
Greddy intercooler package
All piping and filters
Tial 50mm blow off valve
Deatschwerks injectors
Walbro fuel pump

This is pretty much the same price that it costs to do a similar setup on your VQ35DE...

i could tell while tuning it that it had more in it. watching all the pretty colors and things moving around on the Haltech made me think that...

HR's are sick. 460whp at 8psi.

i know the rods in HR are much beefer, so that kinda relieves that concern, what else might be a concern when it comes to longevity when pushing that much power on a stock block?
