The time has come for another meet in our area...



With more people aware of the amount of Z's and G's in the area, this meet should definitely bring more cars than our last meet. if you are in the area between Mobile and Tallahassee, then this meet is for you!!! We've arranged a central location to meet at, which consequently was our previous location, to be at the Destin Commons in Destin, Florida, on May 4th, 2008



Mark your calenders accordingly. Our meet will consist of a meet and greet, a small cruise along US 98, and a BBQ immediately following for those wishing to stay and socialize. The exact times are still to be determined as of yet, but be expecting to meet up between 9:30 and 10:30am and continue until around 1 or 2 in the afternoon where will proceed to my place for the BBQ. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. No, the dates cannot change. Hope to have a great turnout!!

Man, wish I was already moved to Niceville, then I could join you all. Enjoy the meet. Hope to be there in the not too distant future. Waiting to either transfer from here or get a new job on Eglin, AFB. Have two more friends also hoping to get to Hubert, as we were all together here for a few years. I do the annual Pebble Beach run here every Sep, had 110 last year, originally started with 5 cars and each year just kept growing up to present. I enjoy those things, and organizing them. So when I get there, it's going to be fun too, I'm sure of it. You all enjoy yourselves.

May 4th is my Birthday and the day my GF, is going to Panama City to see her dad. I might just ride out to this depending on how many people decide they want to go.

I would like to do it this year, only thing that stops me from being there now is, I own a house here in CA, and being in my location near Pebble Beach, nobody is selling houses. They even have foreclosure bus tours here going on, where buyers can get house as cheap as $450,000. I will wait it out, won't even consider selling my at this time. The housing market here is actually one of the most expensive areas, Pebble Beach, Monterey, Silicon Valley neighbor area. Soon as things cool down, then will sell and head out, buy a house in Niceville, which I have a real estate agent already. My main goal will be monthly gathering like here, setting up runs that include things like lunches, straight runs, back roads, "twisties" if there are any. I really enjoy research. That's how I got into it here. My annual run here includes cars from as far south as LA and as far North as S.F, Sacramento, etc. We have hotels, restaurants locked on, multiple routes set up for different times of the day each year. I get everybody on Pebble Beach for "Free", and they love the 17 mile drive and of course the beaches and golf courses. I'll be attempting the same there also, and try to get something going. Also will visit Sharif at his shop plenty to up the road "GA". Just a matter of time.

I'll be there!!! my car hasn't changed any but no worries. i'm also bringing a couple of other 350z guys that aren't on the forum. I'm out in the streets recruiting!

 

Took a vacation there, also went to Jacksonville, St. Augustne, and Orlando, but the beaches, and easy cruising, plus of course Eglin AFB, makes it look good to us. We went during the summer to get a feel of it, not bad, went during the winter to the other side, also pretty good, but not the beaches or the water. And a short run to other places up and down the coast.

 

1 more question, if you don't mind... what do you do for a living?

 

Sure... I am retired Military 22 yrs USMC, went to work for the Fed Gov again as a GS with Social Security a fewwwww years ago.
And my main gold is to visit Sharif@Forged Internals when I get there, as I've talked with Sharif on the phone several times, and he's a really decent sounding guy. I have plans for there. Just got my CF TS Seibon Hood and the CF NISMO Spoiler on this week. Got those from Jim@Showstoppers. Goo guy to buy CF items from. Now buying me some TOYO R88's for the car and putting on the Nismo Suspension. I have a APS TT in my garage, but sold it last week, due to here in CA, it's illegal. So doing the vortech s/c for now as it's CA smog legal. We have a shop here (GT Motorsports) that does a lot of major work on Z's and G's. That will be the shop for the s/c and little extras Sam will be doing. This is my hobby of course.

 

I might be able to make this one. As long as no one minds a bone stock looking G rolling in with Russ.
