Project Mu e-brake shoes - GRIPPY AS F%#&!
The 350z's e-brake is very weak. If you pull it while driving straight, the rear wheels won't even lock up and it just rumbles and gradually slows you down. Usually, you have to upset the car, push the clutch in and then yank the e-brake.
To remedy this, I decided to try the Project Mu e-brake shoes. I ordered them from Performance Nissan last July, but they didn't come in until January. After shipping, the total cost was about $200.
I got my first chance to truly test them last Wednesday at Club Loose. The first time I tried them, it wasn't quite tight enough, so I pulled out the little coin holder and quickly adjusted it with a nut driver. My next run, I yanked the e-brake naturally, like I had done many times before. The rear wheels locked up so hard that I went into a spin. I had to laugh, because I was very impressed.
I got a few more runs in that night and it worked wonderfully. Although it's a little on the pricey side, I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend it to amateur drifters. I promise that I'll report in at the end of the season to let everyone know how it holds up.

very nice man. i saw your car there the other night, its looking good.
hopefully i find a new chassis SOON to toss all my crap into so i can get back out there. i miss it.

Out of curiosity...you mentioned having to upset the car (pushing the clutch in and pulling the E-brake)....are you aware of the fact that pushing the clutch in is the "proper" way to engage the E-brake. You aren't suppose to yank it without the clutch when it comes to drifting that is. The clutch engagement is there to cut power to the rear wheels.

If you have abs and you're drifting, you're doing it wrong haha.
If you don't want to make small sacrifices for a hydro ebrake setup on a Z33 then just drift without an ebrake because drifting isn't that big of a deal to you anyway. In which case this this mod is a waste of money. I have them and they were an extreme waste of money for me.
My hydro isn't even on the list of things that **** me off about the interior of my car lol.
Edit: Oh and you can always return your abs to normal if you're that worried about not having ABS, keep the stock lines to the primary and secondary and bleed your brakes and switch them out when you want to drift/daily. Are people that terrible at braking that ABS is that big of a deal? Pay attention to the road and don't slam on your brakes (unless you just want to do some cool 4 wheel braking while drifting), it's not that hard. My Z is the first car I've even had with ABS.
