san diego drive, 3/30/08
Seems like there have been a few posted with little interest or organization. So I'm posting this up so you all can get your cars ready for a nice day of driving and fun

Same meet spot as always. Parking lot behind Mobil gas station off highway 76 and I-15. The address for the gas station is:
4730 Highway 76
Fallbrook, CA
Please have your car gassed and ready to go. We will leave the parking lot at 830A.

We'll be going from Fallbrook up Palomar area, over to Julian and out to I-8. It's a bit of a drive to the starting point, but the route is great and ends up just a short drive down the 8 back into town.

Just as an option, you could meet up around Escondido for a closer starting point. From that start location, there are quite a few nice roads that will lead you to the 76, then to palomar.

Hehe, well, I think these cruises have often gone through the Julian area, but once I moved out here last Summer and got in on them, I was always pretty vocal about my desire for pie on the threads, so it bacame a regular stop for us. By the time the group gets there, eveyone is about ready for a break and has worked up a pretty good sweet tooth.
