Found this today. Enjoy.
So now it’s final. Nissan will showcase the next new Z-Car at the L.A. Auto Show this November. This will be the real thing, not a teaser, according to a source, who added that the car looks ‘fantastic.’’
A lot of blurb on the new Z is already out in cyberspace but yes, the new Z will be shorter than now (some four-inches, apparently) but a touch wider, still have two-seats and yes, power will come from the same excellent 3.7-liter V-6 found in the Infiniti G37 Coupe.
So welcome the 370Z and while the new design will be evolutionary, we understand it’s still instantly and unmistakably a Z. Roll on November.

I like it! Looks like they are trimming the fat off the Z and giving it more power. I hope it also weighs less.

I am thinking it will be along the lines of the changes made between the 86 and 87 300ZX. Things were rounded out a little more. On a side note, every now and then I will see a 50th Anniversary Edition model from 1984 and it still makes me stop and stare. It's amazing to me that it sold for more than 26k back then.

Weird the G37 turned into such a porker but they are making an effort to do the Z right

that seems logical, and I think possible. But the weight, it might end up 200 less than the porky '06+ Z's, not the early model '03's. Somehow, I doubt the next Z would weight in at 3000 lbs with that 3.7L....probably closer to the rumored 3197 lbs from this source. But even then, 3200 lbs and 333ps would still be pretty good and would leave lots of room to improve upon. Take out the spare+tools and a lightweight Odyssey battery and it'd be about 65 lbs less, 3135 lbs. Really not bad...
