Default Bucking at 2300rpm

I have made an inquiry previously, but to not much avail. I have searched also, but not much info found there either. Has anyone else experienced a little engine bucking right when you get to around 2200-2300rpm. I get a slight hesitation right at that spot in 1st gear when accelerating normal (launching I get no hesitation). But when driving normal, and I shift gears and the RPM's fall down right at 2200-2300rpm when I go into the next gear, and I stay there and cruise in that spot, the car will buck a bit. What solutions have any of you come up with to remedy this?

Mods I have are:

6spd 2003 Touring Edition Z

APS 2.5 inch test pipes
K&N drop in filter
Stage 2 Competition Clutch
Competition clutch lightweight steel flywheel

^^Yeah, I remember you mentioning have the same problem. Do you have a lightweight flywheel and aftermarket clutch as well? I can only attribute it to those mods. But happening at only one spot freakin confuses the hell out of me.

i have an 07 350 w/ 4300 miles and im experiencing the same thing. when accelerating normally around the same rpm as original poster stated i get the bucking too. i have no clue what it is, everything is stock cept for the stereo and exhaust. no engine mods, no clutch mods nothing.

the car just seems to sputter and the rpms bounce a little. and it will stay like that unless i accelerate a little more. what should i do? no also this doesnt happen all the time. some days i wont experience this, other days i do. and also as previously stated, if you take off quick theres no sputtering. any info would be much appreciated. ty

Stock clutch and flywheel...

I really wish I knew what it was... I've changed the plugs and cleaned the MAF to see if it does anything.

Does your car run rich?

My car does it too. I don't know what it is. My previous car did it too. I just think its something with the low rpm.. But it does it to me in every gear.. I think its juss how the car is made.... It's normal tho.. Annoying. But normal.

I don't have a Wideband on it, so I can't tell right now. Do you have any exhaust mods?

My Z has full bolt-ons but its started well before it was full bolt-ons. I know it was definitely doing it when I only had a Pop Charger and test pipes.

I've already replaced the O2 sensors

You can't be serious. Do you really think any car is made that way? "It's NORMAL"? If anyone believes that, they are retarded.

I noticed mine doing it after the clutch and flywheel. But I do have a K&N filter and test pipes.

Comprehension 101 killa! I didn't say it wasn't happening, what I said was, IT IS NOT NORMAL, as you claim. And if anyone believes it is normal, he is retarded. Understand now? I've owned over 2 dozen sports cars and exotics, and I've modded every one of them. NONE bucked, and they were all MANUAL.

so what do i do? should i take it to the dealer, cuz it might not happen and they're most likely not going to find anything wrong with the car. i thought it could be fuel, but i put in premium almost always, occasionally mid grade, but nvr regular fuel. and like i said, no engine mod, except for a bolt on cat-back exhaust. and after-market stereo/sound system.

It's under warranty, hell yea, take it back to the dealer. If it's bucking and/or stalling, the car ain't right, and they need to fix it. I doubt it's the grade of gas, I even run regular in my revup and never had any issues. It's hard to diagnose a problem from just a sketchy description, but a more detailed explanation and maybe a video could ring a bell with someone else here. Depending on the severity, a good shop or dealership should be able to pinpoint the problem. Good luck man.

I had a similar problem 40 years ago when I first learned how to drive a car with a manual transmission.

Lol, you're brutal. You're saying you have diagnosed the problem, and it lies between the steering wheel and the driver's seat.

read here....

https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance-and-repair/307878-sputtering-during-warm-up.html

It won't give you an answer, but I think you'll find some more complete descriptions.

Yea, no resolution in that thread, but a lot of theories. Apparently not everybody has it, and it affects the '07s predominantly? Since the dealer isn't helping, has anyone tried changing or replacing something (FPR, TPS, MAF, oil, gas, ECU, car) to eliminate it?
