Like the title states ...Have you ever had your 350Z on a track?

You mean road course, 1/4 mile or either? Road course here...

 

I was not being specific on purpose. So much of the forums posts regard 350Z's performance yet to many, they have never really pushed their car on ANY type of track. I just want to see what the percentage is for those that have actually put their car on a track.

I created this poll after reading a thread regarding the weight of a 350Z being considered "heavy" & then began to ponder why 100 lbs would matter all that much to those that are not really tracking their car.

For the record, I do track my 350Z.

 

Of course it's been on tracks (Sebring in my avatar, for example). It's a sports car therefore it needs to be participating in Motorsports. If you don't take your Z to the strip, road course, autocross or drift at least once, then you'll never know what fun you've been missing.

 

I take the G to the track as much as possible. Mostly Autocross but I've been on the road coarse as well. I got 2 season 1st places one with the SCCA and one with BMWCCA. I baught the car with the intent of racing it.

 

This sounds like a setup from an insurance cancellation. You don't work for Allstate do you?

 

On the strip, never a road course though

Not yet but I'm shipping the Z to Europe next month where she will go on alot of tracks

 

I have track my car on either road course or track, but I have gone drifting on empty parking lots.

 

Why did you buy your Z???


Mine is on the track every chance I get, though with the cold weather upon us now guess this is time for more mods so that I can lower my times in the Spring.

Aotucross/ time attack...some at work talk about the Z car & G35 are meant for 1/4 mile runs. I always look at em' very closely to see if they are wearing a safety helment 24 hours a day and a drooling bib, you know our "special friends"

Make a road trip. I've been able to hit three different out of state tracks by virtue of making a road trip to the last two Z club conventions. Besides the obvious benefit of seeing the national gathering of Zs, there's a car show, autocross competition and track day that goes along with it.

3. are you close to Big Springs, TX the real indy cars used to test there in the 90's. I beleive they have both a oval/dogleg Nascar configuration & a roadcourse.

Every month . . . either autocross or road course. I don't consider my Z a dragster so I have not been to a 1/4 track. I leave that to the domestic muscle cars. My Z was born to track . . .
