Default Wheelautohaus ???

I put a deposit on an order with Charles at wheelautohaus a little over two months ago...

I tried calling his shop today at 800.766.0866 for an update, but a recording says that, "We're sorry, the call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and try again."

The last activity on their account was: 10-29-2007 05:50 PM

I also noticed that they no longer have "Vendor" status...

Does anyone from the FL area know what's going on? I need to get in contact with these guys.

Hopefully I'm not out $1000. Any answers are greatly appreciated! Thanks for the help guys!

Well, it looks like Charles is no longer with the company... That means the link between the Z community and Wheel Autohaus no longer exists. Their company's phone number is disconnected, as well as the number listed in their merchant contact information.

I'm wondering if the company has closed up their shop?

I just got back from the bank. They asked me to write a complete statement and give it to them on Monday so that we can dispute the $1000 with VISA.

If anyone else currently has an order in with Wheel Autohaus, I'm sure they are going to be experiencing similar results.

WTF? Thats messed up! They didn't even contact you regarding your deposit at all? Geez...sounds like a law suit. Anyway I called them before for quotes on Meisters and they treated me like **** on the phone - rude, short, and unhelpful when asked about availbiltiy and possible sizing options.

Went to Rick @ Status and will never go elsewhere

from my experience here in hawaii, if the company goes out of business, they dont return your deposits. kind of like when you file for bankruptcy you dont owe your debt.

I'm also waiting on this jack *** to get me the wheels I ordered back in August 7 and I too put a $1000.00 dollar down payment. Do you guys think I have any chance in disputing the charges since is being a little bit over three month since the transaction was made. I've being contemplating purchasing some wheels for my Z for a few years now and when I decide to take the plunge, looks what happend.

I am sure there has to be an explanation to this. Charles is a good guy. I've purchase wheels from him twice and he has always been A+++ Service.

I tried the # and it didn't work thou...........................

Whenever Ive had to dispute a charge with my CC (a visa) it has to be done within 3 months form the original transaction date - since you are over 3 months Im not sure what can be done. Call and check asap though - call the number on the back of your card. They should be available 24/7.

So, I spoke to Charles on Friday. I found out where his new job is, so I called him. He works for RX Performance Motors in Tampa, FL.

Here's the conversation we had:

Me: "Hey, this is John, I am trying to contact wheel autohaus, but all of their numbers are disconnected. Do you know their local number?"

Charles: "They went out of business shortly after I resigned."

Me: "Umm...I had an order with them, how do I get my deposit back?"

Charles: "Dispute it with your bank."

Me: "Okkkkkkk... Thanks."

That's it. There were no apologies... Nothing.

Here's a thread where he announced to the local Tampa car scene of a new shop that he works at:

http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/rx...pen-tampa.html

Notice that someone even questions him about current orders that Wheel Autohaus has!

Anyways, I know that a lot of you guys have a great history with Charles, but I think he REALLY let me down on this one. He knew he was leaving the company. He should have at least called the few members of the Z forums who had current orders and tell them what was going on. I mean, afterall, he was the SALES MANAGER. Instead, we find this crap out the hard way, then we have to explain this story to the bank to dispute out charges. IMO, it's borderline fraud. Someone takes our money, then closes shop. Who's to say that this very same thing won't happen at his new company?

It seems like a pattern to me... He's been involved with these four companies:

Spectuned.com
Wheel Autohaus
RZ Motors
RX Performance Motors
