Looking for folks to share the road with on the way to Zdayz. I'm planning on leaving the morning of the May 17th.

On another note, for those that still need to book lodging I have found a Comfort Inn in Townsend TN that has rooms available and really good rates. Townsend, TN is very close to the Gap. The Foothills Parkway runs between Townsend and 129 so it is going to be an easy and nice drive from the hotel to the events at Fontana Village.

This sounds good to me, TheProfessional will be joining me and maybe a few others? we are about 2-2.5 hours away so if by morning you mean around 9??? we need to figure out where would be a good place to meet also?pm'd you also

 

I think that the Canada Road exit on I-40 (exit 20) would be a good place to meet.

Hmm that sounds like a good place as any, someone take charge of this (that's definitely going) and keep this thread up to date.

 

I'll keep it going and keep everyone informed. Right now it looks like we'll need to meet between 9:00 and 10:00 am. This will allow you guys from AR time to get into Memphis without having to leave at the crack of dawn.

 

closer to 10 would be better as smoked is coming from another part of the state, and theProfessional is about 40 minutes north of me and nothing seems to go as planned. is the place you want to meet somewhere decent enough as there could be a 45 min wait or so, i will try to get everyones but at my house at 7 that way we could be there a little after 9

 

I'll be there too. All I have to do now is to convince my wife not to go w/ me. Im on I-40 ( Exit 80 B ) I'll try to figure out a place on where to hang out to wait for you guys. Lets keep this thread alive!

 

I'm sure everyone can hang out until you guys get there....there is an outlet mall at this exit, so if need be can rummage around in there until eveyone shows.

 

Exit 80....going east, is that before or after Jackson? If you want you can PM me your # and I'll call you when we leave.

I think exit 80 is just before Jackson, a good place to stop by and eat since there are a ton of restaurants. Did you already check the map? Are we trying to make time or have fun or get to know each other?

I'm all about enjoying the drive down and getting to know everyone. I'm not on a real tight schedule but I do have family in Knoxville that I am planning on visiting the evening of the 17th.

 

There is actually 5 Exits that you can taake and still be in jackson. Exit 80 is one of them. You are right about having an abundant of restaurants here. Just keep me updated on what you guys decide to do.

My car is finally done but now has cooling problems, I'll keep people informed, made 519/450 RWHP/Torque on the dyno.

 

sounds time for a higher capacity aluminum rad, have you done the coolant trick at the rear of the block????
