Default Wow so the Z had a bad night yesterday

Well basically what happened was I was leaving campus after my english class around 7pm and when I took off from the light the gas pedal stuck to the floor and I lost control and ended up going sideways and running up over the left side median, regaining some control and going sideways again and up onto the sidewalk. By that time I realized that it was stuck or something else was wrong so I put it in neutral and finally got it stopped.

So I looked at it and the rear left tire is bent like really bad. So the suspension is fuked. Because I ran up on those medians apparantly it shoved up the whole engine because the strut bar had 4 of the nuts missing and it was barely still connected. So now I'm waiting on the insurance to call me back and see if they are going to handle this or if Nissan is going to have to.

I'm assuming they'll defer to nissan since that would be a mechanical error and well that type of thing shouldn't happen. So yea I'm w/o the Z for who knows how long.

Luckily my parents have a spare car so I'm borrowing the beemer.

Nah not yet. No real damage cosmetically. Other than the strut bar being out of wack and the left rear tire being bent from the bottem at like a 30 degree angle everything looks fine. I was able to drive it a few miles to pep boys so I'm hoping it can be fixed.

Yea thing is I didn't try to. It just happened and by the time I realized the pedal was stuck I had already hit one median. So I'm just waiting to find out how bad it is. If the frames bent or the suspension is really that messed up they'll probably total it. Sucks because I just got my bumpers and evo-r spoiler in. Plus I really don't want a new Z because I like mine. If they do total it I'll probably get an 06 to save money and because I'm hesitant to get an 07 for the host of probs it might have.

Do you guys have those stupid racing pedals or thick floor mats? Because this happened to me once in one of my cars.

Yeah, I doubt the dealer will pay for this one. Even though it may or may not have been your fault, I doubt they'll be able to prove it was a mechanical defect, but who knows.

Never had that happen before in the Z although my dads old stanza did it a few times

Either way I'll be back in a Z sooner or later.

Mom thinks its cursed lol. Wants me to get rid of it and by a cadillac cts hehe

Couldn't the dealer look it up to the black box computer to see what happen. From what I hear, it records the rpms. And if it was stuck as you say. It should show up. Just a thought
