There are too many ways to list coming from houston, but this is the best way if you are coming off 610 loop. Please be careful on 225, it's pretty cop heavy around beltway 8/610 area.
- Merge onto TX-225 E via EXIT 30B toward PASADENA / LA PORTE. 14.6 miles Map
- Merge onto TX-146 S toward LA PORTE. 2.4 miles Map
- Take the exit toward FAIRMONT PKWY
- Turn LEFT onto W FAIRMONT PKWY. 1.0 miles Map
Once you see the Walgreens on the right you are close, go straight through the light and then you'll come to another stop sign. You should see the park straight ahead and I'll post the satellite view and try to get us lined up in the following area.
If you are coming from the southside of Houston:
If you are coming from the south area it's pretty simple
- Go south/north on 45 till you hit Nasa One Road
- Turn east onto Nasa One Road.
- Keep heading East till you hit Highway 146
- Turn left onto Highway 146 heading north.
- Keep going North till you come to Fairmont Parkway.
- Turn right onto Fairmont Parkway.
- Stay on Fairmont Parkway till you run into the park.
You should pass the walgreen on the right at an intersection, go straight through the intersection and you should be close to the park, you'll pass the school on the left and come to another intersection keep going straight and you'll see the park.

Great things about this location:
- close to kemah (entertainment afterwards)
- nice breeze off the bay (cool)
- local cops are cool (woot)
- family friendly (for those of us with families/kids)
- grass area that faces the bay (you can park here for great photo ops)
- rentable area in case we ever want to rent and have a cookout.

It's just a meet but I'm trying to push a monthly meet so that we can get some regular events in Houston. If we get enough people we can start organizing more things like vendors, shops, and other stuff for everyone to look, touch, and talk to people about.
I have already posted on G35driver.com under the events.

A thought on the location: That location looks wide open with plenty of space and all, but it's going to be hot as hell mid-July and people just aren't going to be able to mill around for a nice meet out in a wide open parking lot like that for any amount of time at all during the middle of the day in full sun. I don't really know what a solution to this would be, though...

There will be a breeze off the bay as well due to the waterfront, so hopefully that'll cut the heat a bit.
I would suggest maybe some shelter or something to toss up if you have it maybe a couple canopys.

Ok, so we are starting to have more people signed up good. I got permission today to use the area long as we don't destroy it or selling anything. I do believe I have a canopy I can setup and I'll bring some water/drinks.
There is to be no alcohol on premises here. Please do not bring it or you will be asked to leave. Sorry I love my beer too but this is not the time or place to tie one on.
