Test Pipe SES Non-Fouler Fix... pics
Since installing my Labree test pipes, I threw an SES after about 50 miles. I didn't do the non-fouler trick at first because I thought there was a chance I wouldn't see the light (I have an '04, turns out it must be an '04.5 since I threw the SES). Went down to Pep Boys, spent 8 bucks on the two sets of non-foulers, spent about 15 minutes installing them. There were two sets you could buy, I think the Z takes the 18mm (the guy at the parts desk actually went and got a 350Z O2 sensor to see which size was correct).
Here are the pics of everything. Even though there are alot of threads about this already, I made one because none seem to have pics, and hopefully this thread will clear up any questions for future instals.
First off, for those who don't know, you need to buy TWO pairs of the non-foulers. One pair needs to be drilled out with a 1/2" drill bit (Most drills can't hold this bit, look at the pics of the drill I used... its over 30 years old). Once one set is drilled out, you take a drilled non-fouler and screw it onto the O2 sensor. Then take the NON-drilled one and screw it onto the DRILLED one. So the order goes, O2 sensor-->Drilled-->Non-drilled-->test pipe/cat. Once you go to do the drilling and everything, the order makes sense.

Anyone still selling these pre-made? I might be buying a set of Labree TP's and an Nismo exhaust so if I can get them before I go through with the purchase, that would be great.

Also, another question. If you do this non-fouler workaround, if your local DMV does ECU tests to check emissions as opposed to a sniffer, will this help you pass or should you have a set of stock cats sitting around for the test?

I have a 2005 G35 Sedan 5AT with Crawford cats, JWT Pop Charger and Z-Tube, and an Altered Atmosphere plenum spacer. I started getting the SES light before I installed the plenum spacer. I can't help but think it's the Cats since I had so much trouble with them in the first place.
If I can get the code, will that tell me which O2 sensor is pissed off?

I put non resonated TPs on my Z yesterday. I have to say it was a really bad idea cause now I'm all paranoid about cops smelling the stink of my car. Now all I can think about is getting rid of these for some HFCs. IMO TPs are not worth the meagre gains.
