My opinion on my SSV
I received and installed my SSV intake manifold about two weeks ago. I have seen quite a few posts about it so I decided I would voice my opinion on my new part. I Have to say it is very nicely made, good quality and a beautiful piece...BUT... As far as gains go I don’t see them. I will tell you that I have not dynoed, I am going on 1/4 mile times. Now I know this is not a exact science by any means but I have ran my car at the track at least 10-15 times and had consistent times. My best time with just pop charger was 14.0. My next mod was kinetix race pipes with these two mods I ran 13.7 this was my best time. I then added borla true dual and the SSV My best time with these two was 13.7 again. Now I might have been expecting to much but I expected to see a increase in my ¼ mile time the next time at the track. Im not trying to put the company down they make good quality parts but I just am not that impressed with my new manifold. I have to be honest Im more for go than show if I was able to do it all again I would just get a spacer and call it a day. Just thought I would let you know what I think.

Be curious to see your A/F if and when you get an opportunity to put your car on a dyno. Too bad you didn't get some numbers before the installing the Borla and SSV.

Can I ask what was your 60ft on your 13.7 before the manifold and what was it after with the 13.7. Also what were your best trap speeds before and after the SSV?
ALso true-if your car is runnin gtoo lean you wont see gains from the ecu pulling timing, but on the contrary I have seen a dyno on a FI Z where the SSV richened up the mixture, lol you'd think if it was flowing more it would do the opposite.

I did pick up 12-15 ft.lbs of torque through the rev range up to 5500 rpm's where it leveled out to match the Crawford plenum I had. I attribute this too the increased runner length....which would be the expected result. Hp stayed the same as the Crawford. I do think they work a little better but the biggest thing for the dollar here is the "bling" factor and the benefit you would get with FI applications.

It was about the same my 60fts range from 2.2 to 2.0. My best has been 2.0. My trap speed was 101 and 102. Whats a good 60 ft for our cars on stock rubber? I didnt think 2.0 was that bad but I could very well be wrong.
I have heard that the manifold can cause you to run a little lean. But I have also heard that test pipes and exhaust can cause you to run a little rich, I guess I was hopeing that it even each other out.
