We are working on an exciting meet up in the Pocono Mountains,

• Venue: Pocono International Raceway.
• Date: Saturday, August 6, 2005.

There will be prizes to be won, through raffles & car show events to include the following 3 classes of Zees & Gees.

1. STOCK CLASS
2. STREET MODIFIED CLASS
3. BEST OF SHOW

Other activities shall be posted once they’re confirmed.

The meet is being organized to coincide with the SCCA TRI Region Pocono Sports Car Grand Prix Dbl National event, August 5, 6 & 7 2005.

The ZGCA club shall hold its meet adjacent to the paddocks in a private designated location. We can expect an interesting wide mix of spectators. Apart from our organized events, we also have the opportunity to mingle & witness action racing by experienced amateurs, people like you and me.

Camping is allowed onsite; and hotel at group rates shall be available to those interested.

Kindly respond to the thread, if you are interested to join in this event. More information shall be announced, as they are confirmed and become available.

Looking forward to seeing all of you at the meet. Volunteers who wish to offer their help to assist and organize shall be most welcome.

PS: for those diehard racers, sorry there won’t be any racing, not this time around, however, there will be lots of racing to see by experienced amateurs, or should I say non-pros.

A special cruise…….a parade, so to speak, is in the works to actually sample the different degree of banking turns, and the pure excitement of fender-to-fender action in the turns, zipping through 200 mph slingshots on the long straights and with photo-finish endings…… in tune with Carl Edwards & Kurt Busch Pocono’s 2005 triumph. We are now waiting for final conformation from the SCCA track marshals. CONFIRMED

Clearview Expressway north get off @ 35th Avenue exit. Continue across 35th avenue you are there. NE corner of 35th Avenue and the serice road of the Clearview Expressway. Access to get back onto the Clearview is right there and the Throggs Neck Bridge.

Intersate 80 Westbound exit 59 'Market Street Paterson'. Get off and we will be meeting at the McDonalds parking lot. The Queens meet point people will be stopping here.

I feel the same way, but think about it, this is our chance to get on JD's good side; so no problemo for the next open race meet. Join ZGCA and we'll even put in a good word or two, and add you to our list for the next ultimate experience.

The entire experience is very similar to that of the autocross but the difference being that you have the opportunity to take those turns at 80mph and 120/130 down the strait-a-ways.

Join us on August 6, to partake in the exciting events and positioning for the next track day.

I'm going to be in the show. Where are the Caravan's going to be?

The route that I take is the I-95 or Route to 287 to 80 to 115; June from will meeting at the MOBIL rest stop, immediately after exit 12; south bound on the I-95 (New England throughway). I know that Joe will probably wait for us after the tappen zee bridge.

Carlos, where will you be originating from, I think that afropuff is pretty close to you; and if others would indicate where you’re coming from it would help us set up the caravan routes.

I spoke to JD this PM, and we are working on a special cruise for the meet; anyone can guess the route of the cruise will win a poster size picture of his/her Zee or Gee?
