Default 12.7 NA, no power adders

Tonight at capital raceway in Maryland i ran my car with my current mods, which was the first of the year for me. Last year all my runs were with drag radials and now i finally fit on a pair of Hoosier slicks.

My very first run of the night was 12.784 @ 105.96 and my following runs were both 12.9's. I cant believe i ran a 12.7 with just bolt ons and not even that many at that. I tried to powershift through the gears but instead i let off the gas for each shift.

My mods right now are test pipes, Y-pipe, JWT clutch, PP, FW, AAM plenum spacer, JWT intake, and an AAM ECU reflash.

I have never launched like that in my life, i was thrown back in my seat and held there for all of first gear. The Chevelle Supersport i was racing had slicks and i toasted him all the way through. heres the timeslip if you dont believe me and sorry i couldnt get it on tape, i wasnt expecting to do so good.

Pulled a 1.5 60 foot on the slicks and the size of the slicks are 27x11.5x15.
The other car i was racing was a Chevelle Supersport with a 392 engine and slicks.

That is one fantastic run! And you ran two 12.9's right after that! Great job bro! Bet you needed clearance from NASA just to launch that bad boy that night.

Are you running stock axles? If so, keep us posted on how those hold up to that stress.

yea stock axles, as long as i spin off the line, i wont worry about em snapping, and as long as i spin off the line, i wont bog down with those slicks, and thats how i nailed that 1.5 60ft.

Thats an incredible 60' time!

Just so people don't start anything, you might want to post your other slips.

Again, Great job!

Very Nice. Doesn't justify spending all that money when all you need is a good driver and a nice list of the right mods.(please FI guys dont bash )

Very nice congrats on the run.

Congrats, those are some nice times, I was planning on drag radials myself but 1.5 60 foot is unreal. I didn't think the stock axles could take that, now you got me wanting slicks.

How much and where did you get your set of slicks? I want a set of slicks as well for dragstrip purposes. Damn you make me so jealous! I cant even break 12's with my TT! lol but I am not a great driver as you so that justifies everything. Congrats bro!

Raptor,

Great meeting you tonite...and I can personally vouch for those times, I watched them all myself. I wish I had still had my camera with me so I could have caught that on tape!! I almost fell over when I went to intro myself and saw the naturally aspirated Z in front of me. *My fiance was a little miffed at me since I just placed all that money into the turbo!*

My best run on Street 19s with the turbo was 12.66 at 114.99mph for the evening. I'll post the time slip and maybe a vid clip of the event shortly.

i bought the pair of slicks on ebay for 275 shipped. i had to use wheel spacers to clear the brake calipers because the rims are 15's.
