It's in fiberglass now so you can shave it yourself or keep it, the best option is the open one!

It isnt much work at all I already had 2 people buy them and had body shops beging the shave process. If I had taken it off on the mold 50% would gripe I had done so and not bought it (plate laws) So instead we made it from a material we all could do what we wanted! Thanks NismoGcoupe

If people wanted to, can they order the front bumpers without the plate holder since you are hand laying each one anyways with the fiberglass? I would agree that the front bumper would look so much cleaner without the plate holder.

Are all of the mounting holes pre-drilled the same as the factory parts?

Thanks in advance.

I know with Texas FINALLY ax-ing the front plate come Sept. 1st, I'm in the market for an "open concept" front bumper - the Impul has always been my favorite (along with the Top Secret) but the front plate holder kills the lines - as you can see, you have at least 5 buyers just on this thread that would be in for the bumper w/o the plate...

Even with handlaying each kit we have a set mold to adhere to on making it. The plate is there yet any good shop that knows it's glass can make that eyesore go away. Like I said before if we had removed it the orders already taken would have not bought the part either. This way you can do it with or without it. The price difference you save will more than cover the labor to make the bumper your own individual way.

If it was made without the plate holder it would be much much easier for those sick people who actually want a front plate to screw or mold on a front plate.
For me the hold back is the cost associated with the plate removal on top of the shipping cost added with the base price of the replica it drastically increases the cost. ~$500 for the bumper ~$150 shipping ~$150 for plate removal makes it about a $800 front bumper before any painting and installation is done. I know I know still cheaper than the real thing but $800 is a lot for most people to spend on a replica front bumper.

Just my two cents if they are worth anything

Always value the opinions of members.

I wish I could do something more about it right now but my hands are tied. We will have a pow wow monday on it but right now I know it isnt movable on the mold.
