Orange Strip Removal Guide
Supplies needed:
Heat Gun
Sealant (black silicone)
Screwdrivers
Duct Tape
Someone to help you.
Step 1: Remove the front bumper and take off the headlights
Step 2: Cover the headlights lenses with duct tape

Step 3:
slowly heat up the seams of the headlight.
becareful and avoid over heating
(beware of "wet spots" = when the plastic starts to get shiny and looks like there is condensation forming.... if this occurs quickly redirect the heat gun to a different section of the headlight)

once the headlight is open.... have your helper hold and stabilize the headlight while you pull the lenses off the headlight. do this carefully and slowly. if the glue is not softened enough from the heat, you will have to reheat the seams.

Step 5:
without touching the inside of the lense. carefully unscrew the screws hold the chome piece to the lense. and the entire chome piece should now able to remove

with the chrome piece out (do not touch the faceside of the chrome piece).
hold the chrome piece from the back and using a small screwdriver, pop out the orange reflector strip

with the chrome piece back in place...... hold the lenses with the duct tape up and have your helper spray the inside to remove all or any lint or dust that may be there.

with both the lense and the headlight unit clean from lint or dust.
carefully put the lense back onto the headlight unit.
unmask the duct tape on the sides to ensure that no glue was accidently transferred to any part of the chrome.

remove the duct tape off the lense.
using acrysol on a paper towel. wipe off the sticky residue of the tape. once all the residue is removed. re-wipe the lense with windex.
