Default Dyno numbers

I just found this over at 350Zforum.com posted by ColecatZ.

[quote]

Temp. was 97 degrees according to trip computer. So take it for what it is worth. Also, this was on 93 octane with 1700 miles on the car.

Run 1 4:23pm
Max Power=231.1
Max Torque=220.2

Run 2 4:26pm
Max Power=230.2
Max Power=223.1

Run 3 4:34pm (Best results)
Max Power=232.3
Max Torque=226.1

Thought I'd pass it on.

That is extremely low, but consider the 97 degree's, thats just insane. Plus you have to factor other things such as good oil ? Proper break in? ect ect.

Was it an Auto? the number sound right for auto
20% (avg) loss for auto on 287 = 229.6, so 232 as the highest sounds about right.

the drivetrains loss on Z's with auto should probably end up being 18 or 19% because of the CF driveshaft

I think that sounds reasonable...18-20% loss on a 97 degree day...actually sounds pretty decent.

All I was able to find out about the author was that he drives an Enthusiast. So it could be an automatic.

Without seeing the graph and knowing if it was an auto or manual that tells us nothing. Dyno results are usually corrected to S.A.E. standards, so temp doesn't matter.

My auto G35 runs were about the same if you just look at max power/torque, because of the spike at shift points.
