I had NISMO headers installed... no change in sound and gained midrange torque. Installers had no problems with fitment.
As for gains... they are all gonna be close. I doubt any one brand makes a considerable amount more than the others.

If you don't have to worry about passing a visual inspection, the XERDs are the only long tubes available, right now. (They're also what I went with--I'll post impressions when I get them on.)

If we did not make our own, I would only consider the Nismo. But even if ours were not ours I would pick them over Nismo. Biased I know, but I also am fact driven.

If you are going to have to pay the labor on header installation, you may want to choose another brand.
(How P.C. was that?)

No headers are going to give you nearly as much gain as they are capable of unless you replace the stock cats with High Flow Catalytic Converters $500 . We are running a special on the NISMO Headers for $1089.99 .
Let me know if you have any other questions.

XERD. Like SpeedRacer, I also am going with these. If you need cats, which these remove as they are long tubes, you can get some high flows almost anywhere. In fact, there is an exhaust shop near me that makes some nice ones. I will put those in with the XERDs.

Nissan recalled all the old boxes of headers. If the dealers did their job and sent them back it shouldn't be an issue. All of mine in stock have been replaced and the fit difference is huge. Mine still rub a bit on very hard right turns but they are the old batch. You won't have any worry's with the Nismo's now. As far as the dot goes...... this is the first I've heard of that. I will open a box tomorrow and find out. Jeff

The Crawford and Nismo designs are best for most street applications because you can still use High Flow Cats and they will give you good low/mid/upper range results. Some of the first Nismo sets had rubbing issues with the steering linkage so be careful if buying off Ebay or used. I personally went with the Crawfords because I feel their design is the best available.

to see how much power gained. I also got the crawford cats
The install was 10 hours, but fitted nicely, no bolt alignment problem
