its on the lower side of the IC piping. I've just never seen it located in that area before.

ok well it seems my old name is working again so I'll resort back to it. I am uploading the pics from sunday. This was before the kit was complete but the IC was in place as well as the blower. The complete install pics will be taken tomorrow

I have to say I was impressed when I saw the kit partially installed and I can't wait to see the complete install finished. The G35 sedan guys should be happy once the results of this kit are in. The one thing I did notice is the front bumper is blocking a lot of the FMIC but that not a huge deal. Other than that im now jealous that all the rwd vq35de cars have some form of FI but the fwd cars are still left out in the cold

Default Packed

Wow 10 lbs in a 5lbs bag, that major pack-ola.
Kind of curious how loud the BOV is , since it's directly vented.

My question is if the underbody cover is going to interfere with the function of the BOV--or maybe I can't put the cover back on? But maybe that's a stupid question.

Default cover

With the BOV nozzle exposed like that , I surely hope the cover fits back on. Don't wan tto be tossing muck up there.

I'm sure you will talk to keith before I get to check out the car after work but I will take plenty of pics for everyone to see every little detail.

Nope. So far there's only one Vortech kit and its specifically for the 350Z. But the only real differences the installers have run into have been the need to modify the position of the intake tube and the fact that the ECU wiring chart is different (but compatible).

All that's left basically is to tune it tomorrow on the dyno. I'll have more pictures, too.

Matt, how long is the flex tubing connected to the intake filter? Is the intake visible from the front of the car (i.e. is it getting direct airflow)?

Can't wait to see the car for myself on Friday.

I believe its about a foot long in length. Im not sure if the filter has direct airflow but I know its not trapped behind the headlight now...

Default Sounds

Any feedback on how loud the head unit is at idle with the hod closed?

Does the PCV vent in to tract after Air filter or is there and external breather?

I'll more than likely check it out again tomorrow. They were still working on the computer when I was there. they got the car running about 45 mins after I left. I might try and get a video clip up also. I can make the video I just need a host for it. Thats if Steve doesn't mind me videoing his car
