Default *Prototype* Crawford CAST Plenum! (PICS!)

Hey everyone. I got a call from Doug & drove the 80 miles to pick up a Prototype Crawford CAST Plenum. Here's a bunch of photos... before and after. Enjoy!

I do not know when Doug plans on releasing these. I'm just testing it out for him.

It doesn't seem so, but can it use the engine cover and stock STB? You would think they would engineer it to do so given they are doing it up from scratch.

If they did that they wouldn't be able to sell you their brace.

Crawford is about performance. For one their strut bar is better than stock and 2 they will not compromise the design of the plenum just so you can put a piece of plastic over it. I'm sure if the design allowed for the stock strut bar and engine cover without restricting airflow, then they would do it. I just don't see how it would be possible though given the space under the hood.

I guess the cat is out of the bag.

So how does everyone think it looks?

Right on zzzya . . .we were not going to compromise proven design to allow for stock bar.

BTW, this is the new standard "krinkle" powder coat finish. At the moment we dont have any color options.

We like to make power...

In order to do so you have to RAISE the front of the plenum, and increase total volume... and keep that height from front to rear... this is unlike any of our competitors... We make zero compromises in performance, which in turn causes you to sacrifice the make-shift stock strut bar.

Why do you think ours deliver the best results????

Default plenum

So what's the sound comparo between this plenum unit vs the V5 welded version. I have the V5 on my G and personally I'm not too crazy about the extra valve train and induction noise it produces. Will be curious as to how this version compares with the APS.

When that car drove up, I didn't realize it had a plenum on it.

Quiet as stock... if you were to think you're hearing things with this piece, it's your imagination.
