What do you mean 2 day? This is for one day only...unless I am misunderstanding something.

Knowing Jack, he'll end up taking the short-cut & gun it through the twisties. I remember following him on the Bodega Bay run w/ my bud Bob & we went through some insane twisties! Come to find out later we took a different route from everyone else & got to the destination about 30-45 minutes before everyone else . He'll prob. make it to HC in half the time! It was fun though but my GF was sick to the stomach from all the turns

You guys took the direct route up Hwy 1 and missed alot of the views from the hills but that's still a nice drive.

Corsair and I and eventually Bill went on a weekend trip with Jack that will remain as the wildest weekend of driving I have ever done and that includes when I used to race.

I finally let him go since I'm not into passing on double yellow lines on blind curves 4 times the speed limit. The strangest thing is that even if you are trying to lose him he finds you somehow.

I missed most of the fun due to my late arrival but yea you don't want to follow Jack. After he's out of sight just drive you own pace but keep a
look-out from behind

All
I threw together an itinerary and posted maps here
http://www.hypersprite.com/maps/hear...le/default.htm
If no one sees and issues with it, we'll run with that.

Lunch
I noticed we did not have anything going for lunch and Hearst Castle area looks a little weak in that respect, I found a spot called Lucia Lodge at 62400 Cabrillo Hwy, Big Sur, CA 93920 http://www.lucialodge.com is in a good location and serves sandwiches, fish and chips, burgers etc. We will be going through there roughly around 11:15ish so it should work out ok. They would like a heads up on how many people we will have so they can prepare so if people would please post if they will be eating there on the list, that would help.

WSchli1672 and Monterey ~ Salinas guys
I decided just to pick a place so we could finish up on some of the details, it looks like the Starbucks in Seaside will be easy enough to manage.

Starbucks : Meeting at 9:30 AM, leaving at 10:00 AM
2160 California Ave
Seaside, CA 93955

4myZ350
We will miss your cigar Jack

Chris

Nicely done Chris, thanks.

Not sure if you want everyone to copy and paste again or just let you know and you keep the master list updated. Too many lists really might makes this confusing.

Nice job Chris! And as zwindsor has said, it's getting kind of confusing, so maybe you can start a new thread with that info and the links. I'm going to ask the Socal guys what they want to do since you guys are having lunch before-hand.

Once again, thanks for all your help.

Chris,

I was just looking at the Lucia site. Their convenience store has deli items so if nobody is up for a sit-down lunch in the restaurant it's possible just to get snack food and eat outside at the picnic tables. This is going to dictate what numbers are given to Lucia in advance.

Also I've noticed that there's been no mention of people taking any of the tours of the "castle". I guess that's being left up to the individuals as to how they want to spend their time there. Just in case here's a link for those that might be interested.

People....don't forget to bring bottled water with you!!

I figure we let the latest info stew for a little while, at least overnight to give everybody time to speak up. Then I was just going to ask GQ 350z to update the first post of this thread with all the new info. As long as the first post has up to date information, it will keep confusion to a minimum and people wont need to look though 8 pages to find it. If we start a new thread it is just going to cause more confusion and we will loose all of this threads subscribers.

I'll keep my eye on the list and try and keep it straight. The list stuff can get confusing and its an odd system but it seems to work most of the time.

Just pm me if you need me to update the first post. I'm keeping track of it despite the fact that I can't make it.

Uhmm...other than that sorry if there is a delay compared to normal, just super busy lately and other things in life are taking most of my time =/

Chris, we may be running a little behind. I anticipate us arriving at Hearst Castle at about 1:45 or so since we are going to also have lunch. If that's cool with you guys, leave everything as-is. Or if you don't want to be waiting, you guys may start like 30 mins later. I'll leave that up to you guys.

Wink What time are you going to meet at Big Sur for Lunch.

If I can't meet you guys at 930am in Seaside, I'll have to catch up at Big Sur.
