very sorry to hear, truly a horrible story that could have had a better ending. Hopefully an eye opener for some people, safety first always you can be the best driver in the world but the guy in the other lane might not be.

<----saying prayer for the family

I had an accident when I was 16 years old (1993). The seatbelt broke my back in 4 places, aided in facturing 4 ribs which punchered both lungs and broke my shoulderblade. I too would of been thrown and crushed no doubt. Wearing a seat belt is like needing keys to start the car. I feel the gov should allow manufactures to no engage the engine until the seat belt is fastened. And if its removed at anypoint while the car is moving, it kills accelleration, you still need hydraulics for brakeing and steering.

I had 8 doctors tell my Mom I was going to die overnight. She said "All the books you read to become a Dr, you forgot to read the most important one...the Bible...! Well because of the seatbelt I am here to complain about traffic and how expensive this area is to live. I thank God everyday for the ability to go the bathroom and walk by myself, I couldnt for a long long time. Today I have no obvious symptoms from the accident except for a scar on my head from the automatic floor shifter splitting it open. I spread my seatbelt story with as much people as I can.

My condolences to the family, if there is anything we (my wife and I can do) please give us a shout. We will be praying for them.

For a Porsche that weighs about 2900lbs to cause a 4000lb SUV to flip, he had to have been going pretty fast..Sorry to hear about your friend.

My sincerest condolences to the family. I think you need to add a couple thousand pounds to that suv gvw number. Never thought you would see a fatal with a suburban and a porche unless it was the porshe driver.

I am amazed at the condition of that suburban. Who would've thought that porsche vs. suburban could do that....much less the guy in the porsche surviving! Unbelieveable. Very sad story and indeed...BUCKLE UP!

A couple of years ago I lost a very good friend to a car accident. He wasn't drinking, he wasn't speeding, the only thing he did wrong was not wear his seat belt. I feel very sorry for your loss, I know what you're going through.

sad story, his friends and family is in my thoughts.

I just don't understand why anyone wouldn't wear a seatbelt. The arguement that there are some accidents where a seatbelt was the cause of the death is ludicrous. I won't start my car until everyone in it is buckled in. I'm to the point now where I feel weird when I don't have it on.

Oh yeah, for those that buckle it up a mile from home while driving down the road...that doesn't count

^^ sorry for your loss

I was at Walgreens the other day and this lady pulls up with 4 kids, none of which had their seatbelts on. The baby was on her lap and the other young girl was sitting on the boys lap.

WTF is wrong with ppl?
