I know GC is great oil but I wouldnt run anything but OEM reccemendation on my Enzo lol

you can find it at most Auto-zone, cost as much as most syn oil. I paid $5.70 a quart last time it bought it.

Old formula for GC was green, current formula is golden greenish

I like that..."not for sale outside the Americas" at the bottom of the bottle. Made in Germany, but apparently not good enough for them to sell in their own country. LOL

Its rebottled here as a syntec. Think its called something else in germany. Germans wouldnt buy it if it had english on it but They most def sell it in Germany

name isnt as important as the contents of the bottle

yes unlike the other syntecs Castrol Syntec 0w-30 is a true group IV synthetic. I have also seen UOA of Castrol syntec 5w-30 on a 350z the results were also very good, much better then M1. you can get 5w-30 at walmart for $15 for a 5 quart jug. I got it when it was on sale for like $9

No castrol 0w-30 is made in Germany it is a true synthetic only available at autozone. The other syntecs like 5w-30, 10-30 etc are group III synthetics. I saw a used oil analysis on syntec 5w-30 on a 350z, Excellent results!

If you want to save some money this is a good oil to consider. I would run it for 5000 miles easily. Syntec 0w-30 is like amsoil...top quality you can run it for 10,000+ miles

yes I have also used castrol for a long time, I switched to M1 for my G35 thinking its the best. However like I said a little research got me alot of information... just hoping to share with my fellow 350z/g35 enthusiasts!

As much as I like GC, I also have pennzoil platinum, syntec 5w-30 and halvoline max life syn. Keep an eye out for pennzoil platinum. I have seen it on sale for around a dollar a quart . Its not a bad oil... better then m1for sure, however it seems our engines love the castrol syntec line up.

Alot of talk on the oil forums on how the VQ engine likes a thicker oil.

Well the old true syn M1 was a great oil, no questions. However even the old formula wasnt a great choice for our cars

Would the Castrol German 0w-30 be to thin for built engines with turbos, where the bearing clearance has been slightly increased?
