Would anyone be interested in participating in an Englishtown Road Course Track Rental?

NHRA will be there June 16= No good for road course...

This will be an 9 hour event. There will be a firetruck and ambulance on standby. It will be set up as a traditional time attack event 3 laps at a time...After speaking with Etown, I was informed that it is mandatory to hire an instructor($500 cost) for the day for non-professionals like us lol

Tech inspection will be similar to the drag strip...Snell 2000 approved helmet or newer and a functional seat belt are the only requirements. As far as a noise restriction, anything permitted to drag race on a wed. night will be permitted on the road course. ex.-atmosphere wastegate dumps are permitted with the exception of rotorys.

Monday June 9th 2008...It will be an all day event 8am to 5pm...
$175 per car... MINIMUM of 25 cars needed to book the track...and a maximum of 30 cars...so that it does not get conjested and everyone gets enough(well over an hour) of actuall track time

Once theres is 25 people who are commited, I will collect the money and reserve the track...

Keep in mind this is a first come first serve basis...and there are people on other boards that will be signing up...I will let you guys know how many spots are left as time goes on...

The road course is 1.35 miles, and a minimum of 40' wide, save for the 1,400 ft straightaway which measures 50' wide. Some highlights of the track include a 90 degree right turn, a 16 degree banked left turn, and a mini corkscrew. Be sure to check out the youtube video of a ride around the Raceway Park road course.

not open for individual public use, but they can rent the track to a group...I'de like to organize a group to go and try this track...

 

effin a. I'm amongst those who had no idea there were any courses in jersey. I thought PA and NY were the places to go. I'd be down for that, keep updates goin on date and cost, and i'm there.

any idea how safety will be addressed? i.e. corner workers, ambulance, etc.

There will be an ambulance and fire truck on site...its part of the cost to rent the track...


Keep in mind people this is a trac rental...not a traditional HPDE

I didn't even know Englishtown was building a road course. Is this limited to 350 members? I may be able to get one of my family members interested, with autocross experience.
