Question Turbonetics ST dyno numbers (03 vs 04?)

Hey folks, lately I've been discussing some things with a few other Turbonetics ST owners, and I'm curious as to what whp/tq numbers everyone is getting with the kit. Specifically, I'm interested in differences in whp #s between 2003 and 2004 models on the stock ECU reflash. Generally, it seems (to me) as if those with 03's have been putting down lower whp #s than those with the 04 ECUs.

We know that folks have generally been seeing results anywhere from 350-385whp with the stock reflash. Please post your results in the following format with the information on your car and dyno conditions. Also, include other mods that might effect your power figures.

Year/make/trim: 2003 350z Track
Build Date: 8/02
Transmission: 6MT
Engine Management: TN Reflash
Cat version: No
Dyno type: Dynojet
Max WHP: 360whp
Max TQ: 353ft/lb
Max Boost: 9psi
Average AFR: 11.5:1
Gas: 93 Octane
Weather conditions: ~95 degrees, ~80% humidity
Other Mods: Fujitusbo Legalis-R exhaust, 19x10 Rays G-games Wolf77 wheels

EDIT: I was just informed that they have mutliple reflashes for the different years/transmission/roadster-nonroadster types. I wasn't aware of this previously.

I was going to wait to post since I have a small leak in the intake due to my MAF housing being cracked, and slightly warped at the flange. However, I will repost with new results after I get re-dynoed. More info is probably better than less info.

With A/F in the high 9's / low 10's and 10.5-11.0 PSI of boost:

EDIT: I'm dynoing my car tomorrow. I will be sure to post my dyno graph when I get home. I'm expecting with the weather being nice and cool (down in the 70's) and the humidity down that my numbers will be slightly better.

Thanks guys. I'd like to get as many responses as possible so we can possibly formulate the similarities beween the kits that are making more and less power. Of course, it might very well just boil down to slight differences between each car, and slight variances in the install of the kit. But, maybe we can possibly find some trends that help us determine how some folks are getting better results than others.

One thing I've noticed just from the above replies is that most are having a difficult time maintaining the advertised 8-8.5psi stock boost levels with the stock wastegate. It seems like MIA is the only one with an aftermarket exhaust that has managed to keep it under max 9psi.

That's cool. Eventually I plan on going with EU and a boost controller. I'm very interested in what kind of #s we see on the kit with a good tune.

+1 Anxious to see the results. EU or the new UTEC for me. Waiting to see if the UTEC is really that much better/worth it.

Here's my graph from my Dyno yesterday at AAM on their DynoJet. Something is definitely weird with my car. It actually went into limp mode last night coming home from a huge car meet. Scared the **** out of me. I had to pull over and reboot the car. Took it out for a drive tonight and it seems to be running ok....weirdness.....

Anyway, here's the graph. Where the weird dip occurs up near the end of the run, a big puff of black smoke shot out the exhaust. I'm almost wondering if this is where the car is switching maps or something. There is a noticeable hesitation in the car when this happens on the road. And look at that A/F curve. I'm Exxon's best friend with a curve like that! EU / Boost controller, here I come.

We both have the Greddy Evo 2 Exhaust systems. With i believe 2.5 pipe back! Want to upgrade to a 3 in pipe pretty soon.

Do you have any pics of how your exhaust was modded to fit up to the down-pipe?
Also, it's a 2.5 Inch pipe-back, but it's dual pipes, so that's equivalent to a 3" or better all the way back right?

That is correct. Dual 2.5" pipes have a larger cross sectional area then a single 3" pipe.
