Default SPL A-arm Install**Race Version**

Woke up pretty hung over this morning and visited my friends at Corner 3 Garage in Irvine... they did a great job installing the SPL-A-arms. Steve was very meticulous as always and def. takes his time and makes sure its done right...I almost went w/ the SPC's due to price but these arms are way more reliable and and a overall better design than your typical sliding ball joint setup..spc, cusco, 350evo, etc...Other than your typical camber adjustment...these actually are able to modify your caster as well hence making your steering much sharper and more responsive. No rubbing or knocking issues at all w/ the race version driving home....Going in for an alignment at Westend next week and everything should be good...

BTW..I think they had a couple left for the street versions and race...so it might be a good idea to jump on these before the price increase.....

Bling? Lol, these aren't "show parts" at all! They are real usable track parts.

I have the race spec SPL too. With stock springs and KONI sport shocks, I've never had any clearance issue. Despite some airborne action here and there and many hundreds miles of track. Love them!

That's bad a**. I just installed the SPC the other day. Work great. But those you have are making me minorly jealous.

By chance does yours make a squeaking noise when going up and down bumps in the road? Mine drivers side makes an annoying noise from the aluminum bushings that attach to the body. I tried WD40 and it makes the sound go away for a bit, but always comes back.

Have you contacted SPL in regards to that? They should take care of you.

Have no noise at all. Rides great. I was checking for the clearence at the time of the install. Everything looked good and had more then enough clearance with the travel of the suspension when driving.

Just got back from Darren at Westend...very professional and cool guy to boot. Both front left and right are at - 1.7 ...didn't get it corner balanced
but it still feels pretty good.

-1.7 for the fronts is what I wanted...just aggressive street driving w/ good grip for the corners for when i'm pulling into the Vons parking lot.

^ was coming back from burbank to work in hollywood this afternoon and took a few corners rather quickly....It felt amazing. totally dif. than the stock arms and bolts. Forgot what my rear specs were, but it was pretty bad - The back felt loose and sloppy as well. The car feels good now...very happy.

Sorry for bringing a thread from its grave but with the race spec, did you have any clearance issue? better yet, how low is your car?

Thanks one last question, do you recall if they had the bang ( I don't know what you call it, the wall) to make room to avoid rubbing well clearance.

Nope..just plug and play really...I know the race version has a beefier center knuckle, but still no issues.
