Default Update on Project Mu Brake Pads

I finally installed Project Mu B-Force Brake Pads both front & rear yesterday.

First of all, I would like to say that I really like Poject Mu Pads better than Hawk HPS. It brakes better. I could feel it bites better. As for noise, there is none yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed

I had both front & rear Hawk HPS and when I was switching from Hawks to Project Mu, I noticed that my Front Hawk Pads had 50% left but my rear was almost gone on. There was only about 10% left. My assumption is that the Front Hawk pads were not biting hard so my rear pads had to work harder.

As for Poject Mu Pads, I could definitely feel that it has a better bite and its quite.

I will post more updates if there is any changes.

Sorry...disregard the pics. I've been brain farting all day.

Are these pads suppose to give out less dust though like the HPS?

Most any after market brake pads give out less dust than stock pads. From what I know, they are suppose to give out less dust.

ssk0771,
Keep us posted on how you're pads are doing such as any noise, dust, pad wear or any other issues. I may consider switching off my pads as well (also have Hawks HPS). Thanks!

Update

I had a chance to drive my car around most of the day today and so far, NO Brake NOISE .

As for the performance, its great. I can really feel it bites LOT better than Hawk HPS. As for brake dust, I have to wait and see more but I am sure its not going to be as bad as stock pads.

As long as there is NO NOISE, I am going to use this pads in the future.

Did I mention I DID NOT turn my rotors when I was changing the pads?

The only thing I did not like about Hawk HPS pads were that it seem like it did not perform as good as stock but I can definitly say that Project Mu B-Force Pads perform better than stock & Hawk HPS pads.

The cost of the pads may be little pricy but its well worth it.

Does anyone else use Project Mu B-Froce Pads?

I used my project mu pads at the track for two days this past week. Once at Thunderhill and once at Infineon. They bite much better than my Hawks did and lasted longer during each session. I think they are great pads and they fit perfectly in the Brembo's. I had to grind my Hawks to get them to fit. They worked great for me.

-Steve

Oh yeah, the dust is even less than the Hawks.

I am not sure. I never tried EBC greenstuff before.

Here are summary of some pads I used before.

Stock (no brainer)
Dust: sucks, sucks, sucks
Noise: None/ very very little
Performance: Good performance but very rough braking
Summary: I will never use stock pads again

Satisfied Ceremic:
Dust: Very Very Low
Noise: Little squeek when cold but it goes away after it warms up.
Performance: Loose little brake performace compare to stock pads & doesn't bite as hard as stock pads but very very smooth braking.
Summary: Over all its a great pads and I would definitlely choose this pad over stock pads. Once again very smooth braking.

Hawk HPS:
Dust: Very Very Low
Noise: Almost NONE/started squeek a little (few times a month) as pads wore down. (even though others have experiance/complaint about squeeks, I did not have any issues with squeeks . I must have been lucky)
Performance: Bites little less than stock but little more than Satisfied Ceremic. Braking gets little rough as pads wear down.
Summary: Once again over all its a great pad. I would seriously debate which pads I would choose if it was between Hawk HPS and Satisfied Ceremic

Project MU B-Force:
Dust: Very very Low so far (will post an update in about a week)
Noise: None so far (will post an update in about few weeks unless it starts to squeek)
Performance: Great performance. Definitely bites better than stock, Hawk HPS, or Satisfied Ceremics. Braking is little (I mean little) rougher than satisfied but smoother than stock. Its similar to Hawk HPS with better performance
Summary: Its a great pad with great performance. Its has combination of good characteristic from 3 pads I mentioned above so far .

I will post an update.

(NOTE: The summary of the brake pads are my own PERSONAL experiances and opinions. Experiances and opinions may vary from person to person. I am not trying to promote any one particular product nor putting any product down. If you have different experiances or opinions you are more than welcome post.)

None so far but today was the first day I had chance drive my car around for a while. I also got a car wash today so I should have an update within few day. I know stock pads use to cover my wheels with brake dust in couple of day so we'll see.
