sorry if this is a newb question.

With a lower compression ratio you can run more boost and less timing, I'm guessing.

THis is the best there is for your cars...period.

I can't wait for my car to be done. I am sure Sam will do a write up on what we do on it.... insane stuff.

BTW.... with lower compression, you can run MORE boost (assuming the intercooling is unchanged) than you can with higher compression, and MORE timing advance, NOT less (assuming everything else remains equal).

Additionally, with lower compression and a little more boost, comapred with a higher compression and a little less boost, you can probably even run a little more timing in theory, as the AF mixture at the end of the compression stroke will be of lower temperatures in hte latter case.

The key is to pick the right compression for greatest efficiency possible (for situations that the car will be encountering).

i am going with 8.5:1 that is what i was told was best for my car being a DD and on sh!ty CA 91 gas. i trust what i was told.
i am not looking for what CR i should run i am just trying to understand why some run 9:1 and others run lower.
still in the leaerning process.

and sorry to take the thread into a different direction. back on topic.

Great work GTM.

Sam,

How much is the core charge? Or... You don't have a core charge?

I'm assuming their is no core, as it's working on your engine. UNless it's something that's going to ship.

Sam,

Will you sell the custom Wisecos on their own? I have never been a fan of Arias pistons (no real reason, though.)

What should we expect cost wise to have this built short/long block installed back into the car?
