Yeah all that's there, head work etc. I just thought it was cool that he would machine the cams from solid billet, because he thinks off the shelf stuff is junk.

That's impressive Javi (whp for your mods). Might make me stay NA for longer than I thought. How much rwtq?

rwhp all depends on the dyno you use.

not too hard for a shop to make their dyno give 10-20hp higher numbers, but the high number I'm sure makes everyone feel all warm inside. What was the base dyno?

266rwtq

Had a little difference of opinion the 1st time I posted my results, so I went to two different dynos (BOTH Dynojets) to set things straight
The one that has two numbers are before and after Techno's re-flash.

Sorry, no stock (base) numbers

yeah, my base dyno was around 242whp and later dynoed at 281whp. That was a few parts ago, not sure what I'll get these days, probably more though. We have similar mods though, but sounds like your dyno is calibrated higher than normal

Don't forget he is at sea level and probably runs 93 octane.

a little less because of the drivetrain loss with the torque converter

How the hell do you have 295 with your mods? Doug doesn't even have that and his cams are huge.

I thought mine was believeable, I still don't have asmuch rwhp as a good camed/tuned 287hp motor. I have even done all my dyno runs on the same dyno doug does his on, some on even the same day.

Here we go again…

Why is it so hard to believe that a 350z can achieve 295whp with my mods?
I had TWO different dyno runs, different days, and yet, its still dismissed as anything but some error, or maybe even a deceit…
Don’t know what to say, I’ve been a member long before many here, and this is why sometimes I’m reluctant to post anything here… just look at my number of posts... anyway…
Just the other day I raced a good friend of mine, who has another 350z with 266whp and I pulled 4 to 5 car lengths easily. Did I mention that I’m 6’4” and weight 354lbs?
Damn it the car is fast… why? I don’t know.
Fact: we have 93 octane fuel and we are very close to sea level.

thawk408:
You have 22whp less than me and you are missing the cams, the pulley, the re-flash, the flywheel, the throttle... damn, still not convinced?

I never said that you did not have the power. It was just a shock as to how, but I do believe you. I have just never seen an NA Z with your high of numbers. You must of gotten one of those freak engines. I wounder if you put some bigger cams in there if you will cross over the 300rwhp mark.

That's awesome man. I think I'ma have to go the same route... don't exactly have the money for FI right now but I got plenty to buy a bunch of used parts off of people here on the forums. I'ma get a baseline next month at AAM, hopefully with 93 octane and being close to sea level I'll put down a good number. Definately staying NA for a while now.
