VQ35DER 240Z Build (W/ Pics)
I've been lurking info from here for a while now so I figured I'd share my project just for kicks.
I'm currently in the process of getting a VQ35DE (Rev-Up) from an 06 350Z running in my 240Z that was previously powered by a RB25DE. The car's purpose is for open track events and weekend "spirited driving". My plans are to get the VQ running on all the stock components and keep it that way for the mean time. 300 HP may not seem like much but, that equates to a low 12 sec. car in my case. To put that in perspective take a 06 350Z minus 1,100 LBS, move the engine behind the X-member, shorten the wheelbase, and add a 4.11 FD
Here are some pics of the car with the RB along with a few VQ build up pics. (don't mind the fram filter it's just there for protection during the build!)
If your interested in some more of my car/parts builds here are some links:

I don't know if it's an official name. If not then it's my way of saying the VQ35DE Rev up version, if it even matters....

Thanks for the comments.
The car is a '71 and I'm not going with the front fender exhaust anymore. All I can say is earpeircing. I like to drive the car on the street once in a while so a 2.5'' y-pipe to a 3 inch is in store.
I just got done pulling the body and dash harnesses from the donor car...what a PITA that was. It's like Nissan built the entire car around the wiring.
That said, EVERYTHING is basically connected to one harness. Hopefully once I get this thing running I can start eliminating some of the wiring I don't need because that sh*t is heavy!
