Default Audio Install complete... pics inside -->

ok, here is the rundown on the components:

- stock headunit (didnt care to mess with nav integration, maybe will swap with 8V Eclipse Pre-out in the future)

- Boston Acoustics RC620 (6.5" components in stock driver and tweeter locations) Driver required 1" spacer to clear window.

- Boston Acoustics FX6 (6.5" coaxials in rear stock locations) These rears are running off headunit power, since they dont need to much push.

- 2 JL Audio 8W3D6 (Dual 6 ohm voice coils, running parallel on each speaker, then parallel into AMP.. this gives 1.5 ohm total) These are in a custom enclosure, kind of like a stealthbox. The shop made 4 sides from MDF, then contoured the bottom with mold fabric and resin. it sits flush in stock sub location. Pics below.

- JL Audio 300/2 pushing the front Bostons. input signal from front signal from headunit. crossed over.

- JL Audio 250/1 pushing the subs. input signal from 300/2.

- 4 gauge power and ground for amps

- Dynamat extreme for doors and firewall thing.

all work done at Tweeter in Frisco...the most awesome installer... Patrick Riley, was a magician!!

here is the first pic (the front drivers)..

Looks awesome, but my question (didn't see you talk about this) is...how does it sound? Actually how does the two 8" sound? I have a similar setup but with the JL 10 in the hatch right now. Going to dual 8" was an idea, but decided to wait and just use a small box in the hatch. Would love to hear how it sounds. Are you going to the Z tour tomorrow? I'll be there. PM me.

sounds freaking incredible. fader is on FR3.

i like trance and techno, and it comes through so crisp. the installer mentioned the Z has a good stage, eventhough the drivers are not angled in... i think the strong tweeters helps bring the stage up.

the subs absolutely pound... when i put in oakenfold/ seaman CDs, it is so awesome,... when i put in rap cds, it punches pretty hard.

i dont need 12W7 performance, since i dont like that sound... the dual 8's work awesome for the Z.

m

ps, i might go to concert... still dont have any info on meeting place...

Very Impressive... I love the rich sound of Bouston Acoustic speakers..

if you don't mind me asking, what was the total cost of the audio components?

Well I'm not sure the plans either, but was thinking about parking in the big lot on the far side of the West End. There should be plenty of room by that time to find some parking. The only thing to think about as well is Friday is opening night for the Stars regular season. Give me a ring if you head down there....214.244.8985
